The Secret Word is LUCKY
I was recently prompted by blogger group I work with called Trash Can Bloggers @trashcanblogger to write a short bio, I am still kinda new to writing to order but here goes, no guarantees on the short tho
I was born in the late 50s and I was a classic smarty pants with an equal smart mouth, my dad said I would walk up to strangers that were having a conversation and just add my two cents and that was when I was 2yo, I still have that problem. My parents divorced when I was 9 and I grew up fast in order to help my mom who worked long hours and drank the rest. As an adolescent I only got faster and wilder (probably to hide the painfully shy scared little girl inside)
I had my first paid job by 12 waiting tables on weekends for Waffle House. I discovered bars and dancing about the same time and I loved em so it was no big surprise that I had to drop out of school at age 14 because I was prego but that didn't slow my roll. I got a job and by the time my first daughter was born I had a grand in the bank and was living in my own apt
Then my first marriage happened and unhappened very quickly leaving me broke in more ways than one by age 16, so
So I moved back to Alabam with my tail tucked between my legs and let my mom take over my life again until I ran away from home with my 2 children at age 22 to be with the man who later became my husband. I married Bob at age 23 and it has been a good 30+/- yrs, We have between us 4 beautiful daughters and 12.5 grandchildren. Bob worked in drywall and I became pretty much a SAHM. In the year Y2k Bob and I surprised everyone by going to college and I was surprised but Bob did excellent and even more surprising this 9th grade dropout did good too.
I was blessed to be in the right place at the right time and to be already experienced with computers so I got my dream job as a computer skills instructor which lasted for over 10years, I am currently working as part time tech and busy trying to be mom to 3 of my grandchildren(their mom,my daughter has peter pan issues) as well as trying to be involved with all my grandchildren. When I was young I had to learn everything the hard way, I write this blog to try to save young moms from having to learn things the way I did....
Well that my story and I'm sticking to it lol God Bless and have a lovely day!
